Ross is a native of Denver, Colorado having graduated from Denver East High School in 2001. Since that time, he has been to many places throughout the country and world sharpening and developing his overall knowledge of the game of basketball. From playing Division 1 college basketball at the University of California, Irvine to playing professionally overseas in Spain and Italy to working with Pro Skills Basketball in Charlotte, he has built upon a passion and eye for the game that he has had since he was a kid. The creation of Pro Skills Basketball of Denver represents his desire to share that knowledge with the young people of the same community in which he was raised. Read a more detailed bio below.

Youth basketball is in a fragile spot in the USA right now. There are too many players, coaches, and parents focused on the wrong things, and what suffers is the development of our players not only athletically, but mentally as well. Lacking is the coaching of some of the basic skills that you need to be successful at any level of the game. Through a positive yet demanding style of coaching that reinforces the understanding of basic basketball both from an individual and team level, we feel that players can hone some of the necessary characteristics like hard work, communication, leadership, and toughness along with their skills that will allow them to be competitive on the court and beyond as they grow into a more mature individual.

These ideals are best summed in Brendan Winters and Logan Kosmalski’s (the co-founders of Pro Skills Basketball in Charlotte) Pro Skills Basketball 5 Keys to Success or F.O.C.U.S. which stands for Fun, Overcome Obstacles, Concentration, Unity, and Skills. We believe that these goals will not only help kids on the basketball court, but it will also lead to success in anything they do off the court too, which ultimately is their mission.
